Auckland Airport

EAST TERMINAL EXPANSION PROJECT

CLIENT: AUCKLAND INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT LIMITED

SERVICE PROVIDED: ENGINEER TO THE CONTRACT

COMPLETION: IN CONSTRUCTION

VALUE: $250 MILLION

Off the back of her appointment as Engineer to the Contract for Auckland Airport’s new Domestic Jet Terminal, Urban Outcomes Director Natasha Possenniskie has been appointed as EtC for the East Terminal Expansion Project.

Part of Auckland Airport’s terminal integration project, these critical enabling works are focused on connecting the existing international terminal to the under-construction Domestic Jet Terminal, bringing domestic jet and international travel together under one roof.

The project involves the construction of a new baggage hall at ground level with two levels of shell and core above. Designed to be constructed in stages to allow existing baggage systems and back of house facilities to continue to operate, these enabling works include infrastructure to facilitate the future fitout of passenger areas at Levels 1 and 2, including relocation of critical infrastructure and installation of new power centres.
